Audinos Ex for detecting electrical discharges
Example video of a possible surface discharge on the surface of an insulator. Recorded with the Audinos Ex acoustic camera. The high-quality acoustic camera produces an acoustic image using MEMS microphones, which is combined with a visible image. Thanks to the precise acoustic image, you can locate the fault accurately, reliably, and quickly. You can record video or still photos of the target and report them using the included software.
Industrial applications of the acoustic camera
In industry, the acoustic camera is an invaluable tool for improving energy efficiency and extending the lifespan of equipment. The most common applications are:
- Detecting compressed air and gas leaks – The acoustic camera detects leaks based on ultrasonic signals, enabling quick localization and minimizing energy loss.
- Predicting mechanical failures – The acoustic camera helps identify bearing faults, resonance issues, and wear at an early stage.
- Monitoring the condition of the electrical network – The acoustic camera reveals partial discharges and other electrical system problems without physical contact.
More efficient inspections with the thermal camera
The industrial thermal camera is an excellent addition to the acoustic camera, as it provides complementary information about the condition of equipment and potential faults. The thermal camera visualizes temperature differences, which can reveal, for example, overheated components, insulation faults, or blockages in pipelines.
Combined, the acoustic camera and thermal camera offer a comprehensive analysis for industrial maintenance:
- Leak inspections can be performed based on both ultrasound and temperature anomalies, improving detection accuracy.
- In addition to detecting compressed air leaks, the thermal camera helps locate air leaks in building and production facility insulation.
- Detecting faults in machinery and electrical equipment is enhanced with the thermal camera, making inspections more accurate.
By combining the acoustic camera and industrial thermal camera, companies can optimize maintenance, reduce energy waste, and extend the lifespan of equipment. This makes the device an ideal solution for many industries.
